“Marcus and the team re-roofed our whole terrace in a week. Scaffolding up when they said, cleaned up every evening, and the price on the quote was the price we paid. The new slate looks superb from the street.”
Hannah P. · Hillsborough · Slate re-roof
“Booked them for the flat roof on our new kitchen extension after two other firms never turned up. Proper warm-deck build, explained every step, and not a drop of water since the autumn storms. Faultless.”
David R. · Dore · EPDM flat roof
“Our chimney was leaning and I was dreading the cost. They rebuilt it in matching brick and sorted the leadwork for a fair price. Sent photos every day as the kids were off school. Genuinely trustworthy.”

The questions we get on the phone, answered the way we'd answer them at your kitchen table. Anything else — call 01632 960271.
01 How much does a new roof cost in Sheffield?
A full pitched re-roof on a typical Sheffield terrace starts around £4,800 and most fall between £6,000 and £11,000 depending on size, whether you choose natural slate or concrete tile, and how much timber needs replacing once we strip it. Flat roofs start around £1,650 and repairs from £120. We give a fixed written quote after a free roof survey, so the figure you sign is the figure you pay — no day-rate surprises.
02 Do you offer free roof inspections and quotes?
Yes. Every quote starts with a free, no-obligation roof survey. We check the covering, timbers, flashings, chimney and gutters, take photos of anything that needs attention, and send a clear itemised quote — usually within 48 hours. There is never a charge for the survey and never any pressure to book.
03 How quickly can you come out for a leak or storm damage?
For active leaks and storm damage we aim to be on site within two hours in daylight for a temporary make-safe, then book the permanent repair. We document everything with photographs for your insurer, and most storm-damage repairs are covered by a standard home policy once we’ve provided the report.
04 Are you insured and guaranteed?
We carry £5 million public liability insurance and every job is covered by our written 20-year workmanship guarantee (25 years on EPDM and GRP flat roofs). We’re Checkatrade vetted and monitored, and we’re happy to show recent local jobs and references before you commit.
05 Which areas of Sheffield do you cover?
We cover all of Sheffield and the surrounding towns — including Hillsborough, Crookes, Ecclesall, Nether Edge, Dore & Totley, plus Dronfield, Chapeltown, Stocksbridge and Rotherham. If you’re within about twelve miles of the S9 workshop, we’ll come and survey your roof.
06 Do I need scaffolding, and is it included in the price?
Almost all pitched-roof work needs proper scaffolding for safety and for a tidy job — ladders alone aren’t safe or legal for a full roof. Scaffolding is always included in your written quote, erected by a qualified scaffolder, and there are no separate hire charges added later.
07 Can you match slates and tiles on a conservation-area or period home?
Yes — a lot of our work is on stone-built and conservation-area properties across S6, S7, S10 and S11. We source natural slate, hand-made clay and reclaimed tiles to match the original roof and the wider street, and we’re familiar with what Sheffield City Council will approve in conservation areas.
